Roselyne Bachelot confirms “test concerts” in Marseille and Paris “in March-April”
A breath of fresh air for the French? Guest of Elizabeth Martichoux on the evening of Monday February 15, Roselyne Bachelot was optimistic about the rapid resumption of shows and festivals. The goal is to be able to organize several large-scale events from here “this summer”. “I am very optimistic about festivals and seated shows. For standing shows, it’s more complicated ”, acknowledged the Minister of Culture who confides that several “experiments” will take place in March and April in order to find a model allowing the reopening of the places despite the Covid-19 epidemic.
“There will be two seated test concerts with the possibility of standing at the Dôme de Marseille”, she said, confirming the information from the Figaro which evoked shows “With IAM and other figures of the Marseille scene”. “Subject to a catastrophic health situation, they could take place in the second half of March. We also want to organize a standing concert at the Accor Arena (Paris) in April ”. This show-test would be in preparation with, headlining, Indochine, according to Le Figaro.
Put yourself in situations of “brewing”, the “Entrants will be tested but positive people will not be screened”, specifies Roselyne Bachelot, who adds that these tests will be carried out with the collaboration of Inserm. All participants will of course be masked and will have hydroalcoholic gel available.

At the same time, the Minister of Culture remained mysterious about a possible reopening of museums. “The museums will open as quickly as possible. We move forward”, she says. If she thinks they “would already be reopened” without the appearance of more contagious viruses, Roselyne Bachelot recalls that they remain closed in many countries. “In Europe, three quarters of the population do not have access to museums. Closure is the rule and openness the exception ”. The minister also took the opportunity to scratch Louis Aliot who authorized the museums of Perpignan to resume their activity. “A mayor is a judicial police officer on the territory of his municipality. It is curious that a police officer frees himself from the laws of the Republic ”. And to add: “I take into account the world of culture, I establish resilient models. I don’t work hard to do a political stunt.
Asked about the words of Benjamin Biolay (who believes that the government is deaf to the call for help from artists, editor’s note), Roselyne Bachelot criticized: “I refute the silence he talks about. We have not stopped talking, to be alongside the artists “. “The suffering is intense but the dialogue is never broken”, she emphasizes.
