Netflix releases Money Heist Season 5 Volume 2 teaser

The new teaser for Money theft Season 5 Volume 2 was released by Netflix on October 13, 2021, announcing “The End is Coming”.

“In the last few hours, I have lost people who were very dear to me. And I won’t bring down anyone else because of this heist, ”says The Professor at the start of the 31-second teaser.

Of course, we know there’s a lot going on around the ongoing Bank of Spain heist, but the teaser doesn’t reveal any secrets.

It offers a pinhole-like preview of what we can expect in Part 2 of the final season of one of the most-watched Netflix shows of all time.

Lisbon (Itziar Ituño), Berlín (Pedro Alonso) and Denver (Jaime Lorente) are seen, in addition to a few others in the teaser. There is an array of emotions, ranging from angst to frustration, written roughly on their discernible features.

Explosions, indicating that the situation has become extremely dangerous for the surviving characters, are also visible in the teaser.

It ends with the professor armed with a handgun as if preparing to join the war in which his trusted lieutenants are trapped.

Netflix, on May 24 of this year, announced the release dates for two-part Season 5 – the last of the Spanish crime thriller originally titled La Casa de Papel. The first part, with five episodes, was released on September 3. The second, which will also feature five episodes, is slated for December 3.

Money Heist season 5 official synopsis

According to the official plot for the season finale, “The gang has been locked up in the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours. They managed to save Lisbon, but their darkest moment is upon them after losing one of their own. The professor has been captured by Sierra and, for the first time, has no escape plan. Just when it seems like nothing else could go wrong, an enemy enters the picture that is far more powerful than anyone they’ve faced: the military. The end of history’s biggest heist is approaching, and what started as a theft will turn into war.

In the story, the characters are given nicknames from famous cities, such as Tokyo, Lisbon, and Moscow, by the gang leader and mastermind who calls himself the Professor. Thanks to the show’s enormous popularity, the red jumpsuits and Salvador Dali masks used by the gang have now become icons of pop culture.

A quick look at what’s happened so far, including Season 5, Part 1

Warning: Spoilers to come !!!

After the first heist at the Royal Mint of Spain, during the first two seasons, the Professor and his gang dissipate. The theft was successful, but three members – Oslo, Moscow and Berlin – lost their lives.

The third, fourth, and fifth seasons take place approximately three years after the events of the first two. The professor gathers his team, which also includes new members, and reveals a plan of the heist of the Bank of Spain.

However, the heist seems to go wrong. The gang is entrenched inside the bank and the army is at their throats. A pregnant cop, Alicia Sierra, finds The Professor in his hideout and takes him captive with Marseille and Benjamin. Later, she releases them to help her deliver her baby.

Meanwhile, a special army unit led by Sagasta enters the bank to challenge the gang. In the ensuing shootout, Tokyo sacrifices itself.

Viral clip shows professor chasing Sierra

Recently, a clip went viral on social media showing the professor chasing Sierra in a car. It’s not clear if the 1.5-minute clip is from Part 2 or if it’s just a deleted scene that has been cropped.

Either way, the clip begins with The Professor saying, “… the rest of the junkyard is all tied up and gagged,” indicating that things are terrible at the Bank.

As Sierra tries to escape with her baby, Marseille, who is also part of the pursuit in a separate vehicle, considers cornering her on the opposite side.

Seeing Marseille approaching, Sierra tells him to back off. “If you don’t, you will kill a mother and a baby. And you are not a murderer. I saw how you held her, ”she said.

Marseille swerves his vehicle at the right time, not wanting to hurt Sierra or her baby. At this moment, Sierra pulls on the tires of the Marseille car, rendering her unable to pursue it.

The clip has raised several questions about what Sierra is trying to do. What will happen to the gang, which is now without Tokyo, the most important character after The Professor?

These questions and many more will be answered in this part of the season finale.
