Julian Alvarez’s agent responds to claims of new loan away from Man City
Manchester City talent agent Julian Alvarez on Friday night responded to suggestions that his client is in line for a second successive loan spell away from the club this summer.
Argentina sensation Alvarez, of course, put pen to paper with the Sky Blues earlier this year.
The 22-year-old, who has long established himself as one of South America’s hottest young talents, has agreed to terms on a five-and-a-half-year deal with the Etihad, before joining immediately -time club River Plate on loan for the rest of the season.
So it came as a surprise when, earlier today, claims started to spread through the media that a second successive temporary stay away from Manchester was planned for Alvarez.
Reports hailing from his home country of Argentina, went so far as to suggest that the Sky Blues transfer side have offered their incoming striker to Olympique de Marseille for the 2022/23 campaign.
Speaking to the media on Friday night, the subject of his client’s future therefore inevitably fell to Hidalgo, Alvarez’s agent.
And, in news that will no doubt get the Man City faithful excited, Hidalgo went on to confirm that ‘there is no chance’ the Cordoba native will move to Marseille.

Such comments have since been followed by further assurances in the press that Alvarez will not leave Manchester this summer, before challenging for a first-team spot under Pep Guardiola next season.
Understand that the links with Julian Alvarez and Marseille (or anyone) are far from the truth. @ManCity the intention is to keep him in Pep’s squad next season.
