‘It makes too much sense’ – Manchester United fans react to Boubacar Kamara transfer link
Manchester United fans are feeling skeptical in response to links with a swoop for Boubacar Kamara.
The 22-year-old is out of contract next summer and, according to reports, the Marseille star has been named as a potential alternative to Declan Rice this January transfer window – along with Wolves’ Ruben Neves.
United were unable to secure a top defensive midfielder last summer after agreeing deals for Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, while Cristiano Ronaldo was also welcomed to Old Trafford.
Key figures in the boardroom have identified this as a priority area for the next two windows.
There are fears West Ham will linger on a valuation of Rice, leaving United to pursue other options as well, including Kamara, who came through the Marseille ranks and was capped nine times by France at U21 level.
Here is a selection of comments from United fans about him on social media platform Twitter…
@UtdShuzzie said: “It makes too much sense for United, so I’m canceling it.”
@kammyk10 posted: “Kamara is 22 and a no-risk signing and wouldn’t cost much either.”
@SalasUtd added: “We need more than one midfielder to start, but one thing is certain, Neves must be the priority.”
