Crystal Palace have stepped up their bid to loan out Manchester United outcast Donny van de Beek.

And there is now significant hope at Selhurst Park that a deal for the creative midfielder can be agreed in time for Monday’s deadline.

Talks between the two clubs are ongoing and United are ready to let Van de Beek go this month.

Negotiations have reportedly been positive, giving the south London club hope that a deal – which would be one of the most eye-catching in the window – is possible.

Palace have resigned themselves to not signing this month but the opportunity to land the 24-year-old has seen the club kick into high gear.

Van de Beek has struggled for playing time since joining Old Trafford in a deal worth £40million in 2020.

He has made just four Premier League starts in that time and would now be delighted to be able to play regular first-team football.
